Yes y'all

We've got one of our biggest festival slots to date coming up this weekend.... we've been asked by Brownstock festival to play on the main stage just before Labrinth, their Saturday night headliner. As you can see from the picture below the rest of the festival features big name acts such as Nero, Zane Lowe, Grandmaster Flash, and The Futureheads.

We're obviously honoured to be asked to perform and will do our best to hype the crowd for the man with the "Earthquake".

-------WON'T STAY DOWN--------

When we first dropped Won't Stay Down on Pigeonhole This! it was described like this.....

DJ Magazine "...epic, life-affirming bass music..."

Flavour Magazine "Beautifully dirty!"

Zane Lowe

Example

After this.... it went to number 11 in the iTunes Electronic chart....

To celebrate our upcoming show at Brownstock we've decided to upload the track IN FULL to our Soundcloud account. Have a listen...

If you like it, please help support the band by purchasing it from iTunes, or Amazon

Last thing.... if you're in the London area this weekend, but are not going to Brownstock we are also playing at the Jamm in Brixton this FRIDAY. Event page HERE

Yes y'all

First up, we'd like to thank everyone who braved the arctic conditions to come vibe with us at the Festival of Light in Huddersfield last weekend. It was humbling to see how many people came to the street party - nice one! Here's a video shot by our good friend Pajama Jama, showing some of the highlights of the evening:

We'd also like to take this opportunity to invite you to our FINAL SHOW of the year....

23rd December @ 1:22 Live, Huddersfield
EXTRA CURRICULAR support from Sons Of Mischief
It's been an absolute rollercoaster of a year: highlights have included mainstage festival slots at Greenbelt, Limetree, and a whole host of other great festivals.... we also absolutely LOVED smashing up Huddersfield's infamous Afterparty Warehouse rave alongside Example, Zane Lowe, Artwork (Magnetic Man), and Doorly!

We'd love for you to join us for one last special show, and because we know it's your support that has got us to where we are now we're going to be GIVING AWAY some of our back catalogue of CDs...

2012 is going to be EPIC, our first full-scale releases are kicking off in the new year and we're excited to be able to share this crazy journey with you.

More details to come soon for this event once they're finalised.... but for now, please share, invite your friends, and gear yourselves up for a serious PARTY! Event page HERE

---------Jack Flash 'Steamrolling'------------

We featured this track from our very own Jack Flash a few months back as an audio track, but here it is now in all it's music video glory...... shot by Paul Cockcroft

----------John Waugh 'Creative Space'---------

Our super-talented sax-man Mr. John Waugh was commissioned to compose an original score to accompany four short films on artists. Here's one of them....

---------Ball Zee at Christmas-------

And finally, to get you in that Christmas spirit, Ball-Zee our beat-boxing maestro has recorded another one of his dope freestyles....

WOW - so we supported Example, Zane Lowe, Artwork (Magnetic Man), and Doorly this weekend!!!

One of the most amazing weekends for us as a band this weekend. First, a headline show at the Hootananny in Brixton to a packed audience, and then, a MASSIVE warehouse rave for Afterparty, Huddersfield supporting Example, Zane Lowe, Artwork (Magnetic Man), and Doorly. Needless to say we are all on Cloud 9 - gonna take a minute to come down from here! Here are a few of our favourite pics:

To top of the night Flash and Thabo then jumped up and MC'd for ARTWORK at about 4 in the morning. The set was heavy, the crowd were live, and the stage was literally full of people - HYPE.

Massive shouts to Doorly and Bongo Dave for their hospitality at this one!

This Thursday we're playing in Leeds alongside Herve and DJ Derek. We're hoping that Leeds is going to live up to the high standard set by London and Huddersfield this weekend. Event info HERE

Flash has just dropped a new video on Youtube. Did you know this many four letter F words? Beat and production courtesy of the man they call Wizard

Afterparty POSTPONED

Little bit of bad news came through today, unfortunately, our show at Afterparty with Zane Lowe, Skream & Benga, Doorly, and Example has been postponed until October. Below is the official statement of why and how you can go about reclaiming your money if you had already purchased a ticked:

'Hey guys

Its with great regret that due to un-forseen Circumstances the May 21st Warehouse Afterparty Event at Bates Mill will now be postponed.

Having had to deal with a couple of major issues both locally and with Artists we will now be re-scheduling this event and Line up until after the summer for our October event.
...
Dont worry though, anyone who bought a ticket online will be automatically re-funded by Ticket arena in the next few days (Including the booking fee which the Afterparty crew have agreed to cover so that it doesn't come out of your pockets) - You will receive an email from Ticket Arena explaining this.

If you bought a ticket at Revolution, Cotton Factory or Camel club (or anywhere else) then simply pop back in there and they will refund your ticket. Also if you write your name on your ticket stubb, by way of apology for the inconvenience we will give you a free guestlist to our May Bank Holiday event @ Camel club on Saturday 29th of May.

If you bought a ticket online then we already have your name so we will automatically put you on the list to get in half price on 29th of May

PLEASE READ THE ABOVE SECTION CAREFULLY BEFOREHAND BUT otherwise If you have any other problems or issues regarding refunds then please email : Info@camel-club.co.uk and we'll point you in the right direction

We will be back fresh with a bang at the end of the summer and back at Bates Mill with our re-scheduled Warehouse event in october just after freshers week.

Thanks for your understanding with all this, this is the first event we have ever had to re-schedule (or cancelled DJ) in over 5 years! not bad going and you KNOW that we'll make it up to you! we're already working on the winter line ups and you wont be disappointed!
