BBC Introducing LIVE session, University of Huddersfield, EOW UK Final, EC at Luddfest cancelled

Yes y'all

Ok, got some super-exciting news about things we are going to be involved with very soon!!

----------UNIVERSITY OF HUDDERSFIELD------------

We are playing a special show at the University of Huddersfield's Student Union TOMORROW night (June 15th). It is results day for students there, the event is FREE, and you DON'T have to be a student to come to this gig. We are set to play at 9pm so make sure you're not late!

The lovely folk at BBC Leeds have invited us along to play a special acoustic session for Alan Raw's West Yorkshire Raw Talent show. The programme is on from 7-10pm and we are set to play at roughly 8pm (but tune in before to make sure you don't miss us!). You can listen to the show from the BBC Radio Leeds website or on 92.4-95.3 FM and DAB. I will also post a link to the iPlayer once the programme has been broadcast. This is set to be AWESOME!!!!

Ever since Jack Flash won the EOW World Championship last year we have begun to form strong bonds with the EOW family. As well as the international freestyle competition they hold they also put on and promote some amazing gigs. We are pleased to announce that Extra Curricular will be playing one of these gigs at Mass in Brixton on July 1st. This is the UK final of the freestyle championship so if 8 mile style show downs are you're thing you need to be here! Also appearing on the bill are the Speakers Corner Quartet (doing a J Dilla tribute!), DJ MK (Kiss and Roots Manuva), and DJ Snuff and Jazz T. What is going to make this gig so special is that JEHST, MICALL PARKNSUN, DUBBLEDGE, MYSTRO, STIG OF THE DUMP, MANAGE, and KINGPIN will all be appearing on stage with Extra Curricular!!!!!! This is going to be a totally new experience for us, and trust us; we have been rehearsing this hard and it's going to be OUT OF THIS WORLD especially as the legendary SIR COXON SOUND SYSTEM will be running the Dub Arena in room 2 - WOW!

Unfortunately, due to funding issues Luddfest (which we were set to play this coming Saturday 19th) have had to cancel their main stage - this means we will NOT be playing Luddfest this year. They are still putting on some acoustic acts near the festival site so, if you were planning on going to see other acts as well as us, please still go. We wish all the people involved in running and performing at Luddfest all the best and hope they manage to sort out the required funding for next year :)

That's it for now, we are in the studio most of this week doing the final mixes on the new tracks :)

I'll post an updated gig list, along with the iPlayer link later this week!

One Love,

P.S special thanks to Annie May Fletcher for the picture edit used in this post :)
